Water Based Adhesives

At the leading edge of water-based technology this range of single and two component water based sprayable adhesives provide very high initial tack with exceptional final bond strengths. These products are all non-flammable and non toxic containing no solvents that need to be extracted when sprayed.

ProAqua 3311Ideal for upholstery, mattress manufacturing and foam converting, bonding foam-foam and foam-wood. Used with Activator 3149.
ProAqua 3316The same uses as 3311 but also tested for fire retardancy. Used with Activator 3149.
ProAqua Mono PlusIdeal for all foam bonding applications, including foam converting, mattress manufacturing and repairing / upholstering. Single part, doesn’t require any specialist spray equipment.
ProAqua OfficeIdeal for office seating, mattress manufacturing and foam converting, bonding foam-foam, foam-wood and foam-plastic. Used with Activator 24.

There is a very significant shift occuring in many industries to remove adhesives from their processes that contain toxic and harmful chemicals. This is why we have partnered with Chemique who offer a superior strength water based technology that will rival traditional solvented adhesives that contain the harmful chemicals.

The ProAqua sprayable water based adhesives offer the user the instant tack that you would expect from your traditional Contact Adhesive without the concern of spraying harmful or carcinogenic particles into the air. This means these products can be used more flexibly within the work area as they don’t need the same level of extraction and PPE as traditional Contact Adhesives do. As all the equipment can be cleaned with water it also cuts down on the necessity for cleaning chemicals whch can again be harmful in themselves.

The ProAqua range is made up of single and two-component sprayable water-based adhesives which offer the user specific benefits depending on the one they choose.

ProAqua Mono Plus is a single part sprayable adhesive that doesn’t require any specialist spray equipment as it is designed to be used as a gravity fed system, so all you need is to place it at a height, connect a hose and high volume, low pressure spray gun with 2.5mm nozzle and it can be used anywhere without requiring extensive ventilation.

ProAqua 3311 is specifically designed for various foam types and densities, this high quality adhesive excels at securing the substrates in place even under high tension. As a two-component adhesive it offers the softest of bond lines. Used in conjunction with ProAqua activator 3149 the adhesive offers a high initial tack that will rival that of a traditional contact adhesive.

ProAqua 3316 is designed to work on the same substrates as the 3311 however it also offers a fire retardancy. 3316 has been tested and passed for flammability requirements to F2 CS 25.853 (a) Amdt.27 App F Part 1a 1(ii) and (b) 4. Used in conjunction with ProAqua activator 3149 the adhesive offers a high initial tack that will rival that of a traditional contact adhesive.

ProAqua Office is specifically designed for the production of furniture as this high quality adhesive excels at securing difficult to bond substrates such as plastics in place even under high tension. As a two-component water-based sprayable adhesive it exhibits the softest of bond lines and is strong enough to bond to plastics. Used in conjunction with ProAqua Activator 24 it offers a high initial tack that will rival the traditional contact adhesives.
