PU Panel Adhesive 310ml P1005 – also known as Soudaflex 40FC – is a high quality polyurethane sealant which can be used on all usual building substrates, metals and polyesters.

It is a one-component sealant with high modulus for a wide range of sealing and bonding applications.

There is no adhesion on PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®) and bituminous substrates.

Description

PU Panel Adhesive 310ml P1005 – also known as Soudaflex 40FC – is a high quality polyurethane sealant which can be used on all usual building substrates, metals and polyesters.

It is a one-component sealant with high modulus for a wide range of sealing and bonding applications.

There is no adhesion on PE, PP, PTFE (Teflon®) and bituminous substrates.

We stock this in two colours, black and white.

Test small area first

We recommend a preliminary adhesion and compatibility test on every surface.

Colour Options

Soudaflex 40FC comes in 310ml tubes in either black or white. It comes with a nozzle so it ready to use, straight out of the box.

Directions for Use

As of 24 August 2023, training is required for professional and industrial users of polyurethane adhesives and sealant products within the EU and UK. The training is all online via a PU Training platform which can be accessed via  www.safeusediisocyanates.eu

Application method: With either a manual caulking gun or a pneumatic caulking gun.
Cleaning: Clean with white spirit immediately after use (before curing).
Finishing: With a soapy solution before skinning.
Repair: With the same material

Precautionary information

P1005 is paintable with most water-based paints, however due to the large number of paints and varnishes available we strongly suggest a compatibility test before application.

P1005 has a good UV resistance but can discolour under extreme conditions or after very long UV exposure.

It is recommended to do a compatibility test prior to application.

Contact with bitumen, tar or other plasticizer releasing materials such as EPDM, neoprene, butyl, etc… is to be avoided since it can give rise to discolouration and loss of adhesion.

Do not apply or cure in the presence of uncured silicone sealants, alcohol or other solvent cleaners.

When using different reactive joint sealants, the first joint sealant must be completely hardened before the next one is applied
